Will Herrin

Will Herrin is a multi-instrumentalist from Nashville, Tennessee. Best known for his mandolin work with progressive bluegrass band Sicard Hollow. Originally from Madison, Alabama, he moved to Nashville in 2013 to pursue a music business degree at Belmont University. After graduating in December 2017, he would co-found Sicard Hollow with his bandmates.

While highly driven to achieve a career in music, Will had little to no knowledge about bluegrass or even mandolin for that matter when the band started. It was then that he would immerse himself in a vast world of acoustic music. His first influences were progressive mandolinists like Jeff Austin, Sam Bush, and David Grisman.

Will tours and records year around all over the United States. You can follow Sicard Hollow on socials or check their website (sicardhollow.com) to keep up with their dates and other news.

I first found Northfield in 2019 when I was in the market for a higher quality mandolin than the one I began playing with. I picked up a Northfield NF at Carter Vintage in Nashville and was so impressed by how it felt and the tone it produced. I took it straight from the shop to Southern Ground Studios in Nashville where Sicard Hollow was recording Secret of the Breeze.
